Agent's Description

We would like to offer you to purchase a house in the gorgeous Bulgarian countryside. This real estate property is set in a small and peaceful village, 34 km away from the town of Plovdiv. Plovdiv is one of the most beautiful towns in the country also famous for its rich cultural heritage. It is situated in the central part of the Upper Thracian Plain on the two banks of the Maritsa River. The hamlet is also located only 4 km away from the connection with “Trakiya” highway.

The property includes a single-storey house with total living area of 85 sq. m, a summer kitchen, which is attached to the house, a basement, a garage, a parking lot, a stable brick-built outbuilding and a large garden vast 2100 sq. m.

The house consists of a corridor and three rooms. The walls are built of sun-dried bricks, the flooring and the joinery are wooden. The summer kitchen is attached to the house and it consists of one room. The property is in basic overall condition. It needs some repairs of the walls and making an internal bathroom/WC. It will benefit some refreshment and renovation. The property is fully supplied with electricity and running water (inside and outside the dwelling). In order to have even more space you can turn the outbuilding into a liveable place.

The garden is really large with a size of 2100 sq.m and currently it is planted with many fruit trees. There is a nice arbour situated in the front yard.

The village, where the house is located is very peaceful. Bratsigovo

Bratsigovo

The village is situated in Southern Bulgaria. It is located in the Foothills of the Rodope Mountains on the banks of the Umishka River, and is close to the towns of Peshtera and Krichim. Historical records show the township was established at some point in the 16th century, built over the ruins of an earlier settlement. Archaeological evidence has shown that the area was inhabited by Thracians and later Slavs. The town is developing as a balneological center, too. There is a cold mineral water spring (18-26 C) with the flow rate of 120 litres per minute at the distance of 500 metres west of it. There is a balneo-sanatorium built up here. The mineral water treats some skin diseases, the nervous system, kidney related diseases and others. There is a nice park and a country-houses zone around it.

The Antique Teatre in Plovdiv

The Antique Theatre is one of the most famous monuments in Bulgaria. It was built in the beginning of the 2nd century during the reign of the Roman Emperor Trajan. It is situated in the natural saddle between the Dzhambaz Tepe and Taksim Tepe hills. It is divided into two parts with 14 rows each divided with a horizontal lane. The theatre could accommodate 3,500 people. The three-storey scene is located on the southern part and is decorated with frezes, cornices and statues. The theatre was studied, conserved and restored between 1968 and 1984. Many events are still held on the scene including the Verdi festival and the International Folklore festival.

The old town in Plovdiv

The old town in Plovdiv

Currently, Plovdiv is a modern city with an ancient spirit and charm, emanating from its numerous remains of old times. No doubt the biggest sight of Plovdiv is The Old Town. The Old Town is declared an archaeological reserve and covers the three-hill area where the town was located originally. Almost all historical sights of Plovdiv can be found there – religious sanctuaries, old residential and public buildings, archeological monuments and museums, fortress walls and narrow cobbled streets.
