South from Burgas (35 km.), on a small peninsula, is situated one of the oldest and most beautiful pearls in the crown of the Bulgarian Seaside. It is an old Greek colony, founded in 610 B.C., under the Greek name Apolonia. Since then, it has been fascinating people with its hospitability, fine sands, still inlet and unique architecture. Typical for it in this respect are coastal streets with stone and wooden houses, original wooden shutters on the windows and roofs with red tiles. Most of them were built during the Age of Enlightenment and are national cultural monuments. During the whole Summer season the guests of the resort can enjoy this ideal combination of sun, clean air, marvelous nature, soft climate, warm sea and beautiful beach. During the last years Sozopol has developed as a luxurious destination on the Bulgarian Seaside, and in the same time it hasn’t lost its authentic charm. Three golf playgrounds, two yacht ports and an airport for small airplanes are only one part of Sozopol’s advantages, which makes it a vacational destination at top level. The climate is Mediterranean, and can be felt in depth between 20-40 km away from the beach line. The sunshine is a very important element of the region’s natural potential. Its actual duration is from 2100 up to 2200 a year. Its maximum duration is in July and August, even in May two-thirds of hours between 9-10 and 14-15 are sunny. The sea floor is relatively shallow, the sea is calm, the soft sound of the waves and the incredible landscape of the horizon and the sea make a summer vacation an unforgettable experience. The biggest and most famous beaches are:
- "Kavatsite" – 99 727 sq.m., dunes – 96 100 sq.m.
- "Alepoy" – 237 739 sq.m., dunes – 66 000 sq.m.
- "Harmanite" – 40 000 sq.m., dunes – 14 280 sq.m.
- The central beach of Sozopol – 18 220 sq.m.
"Sand Lilies" complex has a beautiful location – on the vary seashore of the romantic "Smokinya" camping, situated on the first line to the sea. The virgin nature and the broad shore are unique not only for the complex, but for Sozopol as well. "Sand lilies" complex literally adjoins "Sand Lilies" reserve.
The apartments are fully finished, they are furnished with everything necessary for a family - designer's furniture, a flooring in every room, kitchen utensils ( a refrigerator, a stove, an absorbent, a coffee - maker, etc. ).
