Agent's Description
Property located in a peaceful village, only 4 miles away from a big administrative and trade centre – the town of Byala, Ruse District. Yantra River curves nearby – on one of its banks is the village, and on the opposite are the beautiful hills with forests and fields. The property is situated only 700 m. away from the River. The area is perfect for fishing, hunting, horse-riding, mountain-bike or just walking or going for a picnic among the nature.
The location of the property is perfect for relaxation and living away from the city stress; an opportunity to feel the spirit of the untouched and virgin nature – you will love it!
The property is in the end of the village and provides privacy and stunning view. The house (160 sq. m.) is two-story new build. The first floor consists of a bedroom, big kitchen and living room (open type), a passage and a bathroom. The second floor has two rooms (7x4 m.) and a small veranda. The house is in unfinished state, but most of the work has been done. It only needs few windows, plastering on the outside at the front and side walls and inside on the second floor.
The house is with concrete floors – something unusual for a rural house. The tiling in the bathroom and the kitchen has been done, but tiles could be always replaced according to your personal taste.
The yard is pretty big – 1300 sq. m. and is perfect for constructing a swimming pool. The soil is rich in the region, therefore – suitable for farm/green house.
Electricity and running water are mains connected. Telephone line and internet are available on request. The village is covered by all Bulgarian Mobile networks.
There are several other properties bought by English families and they all agree that people in the village are incredible – very friendly and hospitable!

Architectural-historical reserve "Tsarevets"
Tsarevets is a mediaeval stronghold located on a hill in Veliko Tarnovo. It served as the Second Bulgarian Empire's primary fortress and strongest bulwark from 1185 to 1393, housing the royal and the patriarchal palaces, and is a popular tourist attraction The earliest evidence of human presence on the hill dates from the 2nd millennium BC. It was settled in the 4th century and a Byzantine fortress was constructed near the end of the 5th century, on the grounds of which the construction of the Bulgarian stronghold was begun in 12th century. After the Vlach-Bulgarian Rebellion and the establishment of the Second Bulgarian Empire with its capital in Veliko Tarnovo, the fortress became the most important one in Bulgaria, often compared with Rome and Constantinopole in magnificence. In 1393, the stronghold was besieged by Ottoman forces for three months before finally being conquered and burnt down on 17 July, which marked the fall of the Bulgarian Empire.
The restoration of the complex began in 1930, when the first of the three gates of the main entrance to the fortress was reconstructed.
The “Sound and Light” audiovisual show is an attraction carried out in the evening that uses three lasers, variegated lights, dramatic music and church bells to tell the story of the fall of Tarnovo to the Ottomans, as well as other key moments of the history of Bulgaria. The large-scale show has been organized at Tsarevets since 1985, when the 800-year anniversary of the Uprising of Asen and Petar was celebrated.
